The Trip

The waters surrounding Tofu are renowned as hosting the densest population of Whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) in the world, with research conducted by Dr. Simon Pierce identifying over 300 different whale sharks to date in the past few years. These huge plankton-feeders congregate year-round in the highly-productive coastal waters along the southern Mozambican coast, presenting an ideal opportunity for shark enthusiasts to jump in and snorkel with the world’s largest fish. During this expedition, divers can also enjoy sightings of the singing of humpback whales (winter months), pods of bow riding indo-pacific bottlenose dolphins, green and loggerhead turtles that pop to the surface to breath, as well as, the graceful manta and devil rays that glide past. A true adventure with the giants of Mozambique.

Itinerary

Embark on a double tank reef dive, plus a 12L steel cylinder & weights. In addition we will embark on one of our ocean safaris which includes snorkeling with whale sharks, manta rays, dolphins, turtles and whales (seasonal). Lunch will be included whilst out to sea.
