About the tour

Beginning in Port Elizabeth, the Wild Coast Wonders Shark Route Express tour offers untamed exploration and diving in South Africa’s least developed coastal seaboard. This Express tour is a journey of exploration and discovery, as each dive and adventure offers greater insight into this unexplored coastline. Discover massive bait balls being pummelled by predators – ragged-tooth sharks and a pelagic zone full of makos and blue sharks.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Travel from Ports Elizabeth to Tsitsikamma
  • Day 2: Underwater Scuba Trail dive in the morning then kayak the Storms river in the afternoon.
  • Day 3: Travel to PE then a horseback beach ride in the afternoon.
  • Day 4: Innerbay ragged tooth shark dive.
  • Day 5: Pelagic mako and blue shark dive.
  • Day 6: Outer Bay ragged tooth shark dive and Addo Park sunset game drive.
  • Day 7: Tour Ends

Top Tips

During the pelagic expeditions, keep your eyes peeled for flocking Cape gannets. Gannets are a sure sign of bait fish and the possibility of a predator feeding frenzy on the corralled bait fish.
